Relaxation/Swedish Massage

A massage technique used to relax the body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. It is beneficial for increasing oxygen levels, enhancing circulation, muscles, & nerves, as well as, reducing physical & emotional stress.

Deep Tissue Massage

A massage modality that uses deeper pressure of the muscles and fascia (a protective layer surrounding muscles, bones, and joints). This type of massage uses many of the same techniques as Swedish massage, except the pressure is usually more intense. Deep Tissue Massage helps to relieve muscle tension or knots (adhesions). It also can reduce heart rate and stress hormone levels by triggering the release of serotonin and oxytocin.

Sports Massage

This type of massage technique focuses on athletes and it is typically applied before, during, or after athletic events. Sports Massage prepares athletes for maximum performance, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility, and to prevent injuries.

Trigger Point Massage

This technique focuses on areas where the muscle tissue causes pain to other areas of the body. Trigger point massage works to alleviate pain at the source with the alternation of pressure & release. During the massage, the client participates in deep breathing & communicating with the therapist on exact location of the pain & discomfort. Receiving Trigger Point massage on a regular basis will decrease pain & stress from injuries that are chronic.

Pregnancy Massage

A massage therapy modality offered to expectant mothers to relax, relieve stress, & reduce discomfort during pregnancy (backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema). It also promotes blood & lymph circulation, & helps to relieve depression and/or anxiety that may occur during the hormonal changes. Extra care is given to ensure clients are comfortable & safe by using side-lying positioning with supportive, soft cushions.

Chair Massage

This type of massage is performed with the client in a seated position & is usually short in duration. Chair massage focuses on the neck, shoulders, back, and arms & is performed over clothes. The massage does not require any massage oils or lotion.

Hot Stone Massage

This type of massage is performed with smooth water-heated basalt stones. The stones are placed on various points on the body. The purpose of hot stones is to promote blood flow, relieve chronic pain (i.e. Carpal Tunnel, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, etc.), relax tense muscles, reduce stress, and increase joint flexibility.

What customers are saying

I went and had an appointment with Amy and was NOT disappointed one bit. It's always a little awkward when you go to someone you don't know ,however I did not feel awkward at all, she made me feel very welcome and she was so professional. I told her where my pain was and she focused on that she was really good and I defiantly will be going back! Thank you again Amy!
